NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns recently treated his partner, model and entrepreneur Jordyn Woods, to a truly fairy-tale holiday in the French capital. The 29-year-old big man — a versatile player capable of lining up at both center and power forward — whisked his 27-year-old girlfriend away to Paris, where the couple managed to slip past the dense tourist lines and gaze almost nose-to-nose at Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece, the famous Mona Lisa. In photos taken during the trip, Jordyn poses in a striking white jumpsuit that perfectly accentuates her figure.
On Sunday, 6 July, Woods shared a carousel of photos on Instagram and accompanied it with an exuberant caption:
“It’s not every day you get to see the Mona Lisa THIS close!!!”
The gallery contained several other shots: in some, the pair stand literally next to the legendary painting — a privilege rarely granted even to VIP guests — while in others they pose in front of the Louvre’s glass Pyramid. Jordyn opted for an elegant off-the-shoulder white jumpsuit, whereas Karl-Anthony chose a relaxed summer look: an oversized white T-shirt and knee-length black shorts. Despite the contrast in styles, the duo appeared perfectly in tune — much like Towns’ positional skills blend with the support of his fans on the hardwood.
The roots of their relationship trace back to a long-standing friendship. The future Minnesota Timberwolves star and Jordyn met through mutual friends several years ago, yet their romance did not blossom until May 2020 after years of camaraderie. In her vlog series “Regular-ish,” which the model hosts on her page, Woods recalled:
“I think it’s pretty cool to date your best friend… We know each other inside and out. We know each other’s hearts, we know what we’re like on good days and bad days, and we’ve been through a lot of tough days together.”
The couple went public with their feelings in September 2020. Posting a joint photo on Instagram, Towns wrote:
“There are darknesses in life and there are lights, and you are one of the lights, the light of all lights… I found you, then I found me.”
Since then, the basketball player has spoken about his girlfriend on numerous occasions, both in interviews and at press conferences:
“My love for her knows no bounds… We understand each other. We feel each other’s hearts in every moment — good or bad — and we’ve weathered a lot of bad days together.”
Their strong bond is further illustrated by their coordinated family looks and joint ventures: last year the duo co-starred in a Hidden Valley Ranch advertising campaign, demonstrating that their partnership extends far beyond romance.
The Paris episode featuring the Mona Lisa became another vivid stroke in their shared story, reminding everyone that even a grueling NBA season — full of endless flights, practices, and physical demands — still leaves room for genuine feelings. Timberwolves fans can only hope that, inspired by the atmosphere of the Louvre, Towns will enter the upcoming season with renewed energy, while followers of the couple eagerly await the next beautiful moment from this harmonious relationship.
