Biography of Jude Bellingham
Jude Victor William Bellingham grew up in a family with football roots: his father, Mark Bellingham, was a police sergeant and a prolific striker in non-league football. From childhood Jude stood out for his maturity and versatility - he played in central midfield, worked hard off the ball, and demonstrated strong tactical intelligence.
He joined the Birmingham City system before the age of eight and progressed through the entire academy. In August 2019 Bellingham made his debut for the first team at 16 years and 38 days, becoming the youngest player in the club's history. In the 2019/20 season he established himself in the starting lineup, and after leaving the club his number 22 shirt was retired - an extremely rare gesture for a teenager.
In the summer of 2020 Bellingham transferred to Borussia Dortmund for a fee of about £25 million - at that time he became the most expensive 17-year-old footballer in history. He scored in his debut match and became the youngest goalscorer in the club's history. Over three seasons in Germany he played 132 matches, won the DFB-Pokal (2020/21), and was named Bundesliga Player of the Season (2022/23).
In 2023 Bellingham joined Real Madrid for €103 million (with potential bonuses up to ~€134 million). In his first season he became the club's top scorer in La Liga, won the Spanish championship and the UEFA Champions League, and also received the La Liga Best Player award. He was included in the FIFPRO World 11 team for three consecutive years (2023-2025) and finished third in the Ballon d'Or and FIFA The Best voting in 2024.
Bellingham made his debut for the England national team in 2020. He participated in Euro 2020, the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and Euro 2024, where he became one of the team leaders and scored a spectacular bicycle kick goal in the round of 16 against Slovakia.
Personal life of Jude Bellingham
Bellingham was born into a multicultural family: on his father's side he has Irish roots, and on his mother's side Kenyan roots. His parents - Denise and Mark - played a key role in his upbringing and character development. His younger brother Jobe also became a professional footballer.
Jude received private education at Priory School (Edgbaston, Birmingham), and in 2021 he graduated from Loughborough College, receiving a BTEC Level 3 sports diploma - even at the peak of his career he did not abandon education.
Outside football Bellingham actively develops his personal brand. He collaborates with Adidas (releasing his own JB collection), became the face of Lucozade, participated in the Skims campaign, is a "Friend of the House" for Louis Vuitton, and twice became the face of the EA Sports FC series. In 2025 he launched his own mobile application JB5.
In 2024 he started an official YouTube channel with a documentary-style format about his life in Madrid.
