Talk of an internal crisis has emerged in Madrid.

And at the center of those discussions is Arda Güler.

After being substituted in the Champions League match against Benfica, the young Turkish player, according to Spanish press reports, expressed dissatisfaction with head coach Álvaro Arbeloa. It is reported that the conversation was tense, and relations between the player and the coaching staff noticeably cooled afterward.

According to El Nacional, Arda believes he is not receiving sufficient playing time and support — regardless of his form and efforts on the pitch. Within the club, there is allegedly a growing sense that the coaching staff’s preferences have long been decided and are difficult to change.

This became the breaking point of tension.

Is the Dressing Room Divided?

Spanish media report that the atmosphere within the team is becoming increasingly tense. Some players are said to be dissatisfied with the distribution of roles and minutes on the field.

In particular, there is frequent mention of “priority” being given to the trio of Mbappé — Vinícius — Bellingham. According to rumors, the team’s playing model is built around these names, while other players feel relegated to secondary roles.

Separate reports also mention support for Jude Bellingham — allegedly, his status within the squad has raised questions among part of the group.

According to publications, there are other footballers in the dressing room who share Güler’s concerns. Young and ambitious players reportedly feel they do not have equal opportunities to prove themselves.

For now, these remain media discussions and assessments. But if such sentiments truly exist, Real Madrid will have to restore order quickly. In a champions’ dressing room, prolonged dissatisfaction does not last — it is either resolved or it explodes.

The coming weeks will reveal the truth.
