Adidas made a mini spy movie out of football boots: red Predator vs yellow F50 — and the “reds” have a council of elders

If you thought boot ads were always “close-up of the sole + smoke + slow motion,” Adidas chose a different route. They staged a war of colors: red Predator versus yellow F50. And they framed it like this isn’t just a footwear line, but two camps with ideology.

The faces of the campaign are also spot-on:

  • Jude Bellingham — for Predator (serious, grown-up, “we’ll do this properly”).
  • Lamine Yamal — for F50 (speed, swagger, young energy).

And it all seems fair. Two heroes, two silhouettes, two worlds. But then Adidas drops the video — and the imbalance becomes impossible to ignore.

Sorry, “yellows.” You got steamrolled by the casting

In one clip Adidas packed in so many legends that F50 can’t help asking: “Do we at least get one football god as backup dancers?”

On screen — Zidane, Del Piero, Xavi, Kaká, Beckham… and even Pogba.

And no, this isn’t “just cameos for likes.” In the plot, they actually play roles.

Plot: Operation “Predator.” Zizou is in charge

The legends act out a secret plan to deliver Predator around the world.

The man running the operation is Zinedine Zidane — and it’s a perfect assignment. His ringtone is the Real Madrid anthem. It’s a small detail, but it nails the vibe: not just a commander, a commander with aura.

Then there’s a nice little touch that makes the video feel alive: some of them get spy call signs.

Pogba is “Pi,” Del Piero is “Zebra.” Of course “Zebra.” No explanation needed.

Another detail Adidas handled really well: the legends speak their native languages, like they’ve actually gathered as an “international HQ.” And only Pogba, for some reason, is made to speak English. It looks like the script had a line that said: “Paul must be максимально global.” It’s a bit funny, but fine — it’s a brand, international language and all that.

Best moment: Del Piero who simply won’t bite

The most human scene in this whole carnival of legends is Alessandro Del Piero who… hesitates. He can’t choose between F50 and Predator.

And they don’t try to crush him with “locker-room authority.” He stands his ground красиво, like an adult:

«Listen carefully: I’ll decide for myself — and I’ll do it only when I’m ready.»
