Double Without Compromise
In a single season, Fenerbahçe Beko achieved what only a handful of clubs manage: winning both the premier European cup and every major domestic tournament in one campaign. Sarunas Jasikevicius’s men successively dispatched Beşiktaş Fibabanka—first in the Turkish Cup final, then in the Super League playoffs—and in the decisive EuroLeague clash confidently held off French side Monaco, sealing the game 81–70. Thus, Fener became the first club since the 2014/15 season to pull off such a double on the international stage.
Relentless Arithmetic of Victories
Throughout the 2024/25 campaign the Istanbul outfit played an impressive 84 official fixtures and won 67 of them, an outstanding 79.7 % success rate. The team logged 41 games in the domestic championship, 39 in the EuroLeague, three in the Turkish Cup, and one in the Super Cup. With this haul the “Canaries” secured their twelfth national league crown and the second EuroLeague triumph in club history.
Economics of Success
The EuroLeague title brought the club a direct bonus of €1.8 million. Including broadcast rights, sponsors, and tournament distributions, the overall boost to the budget amounted to roughly €2.3 million. With a declared gross budget of €33.5 million and a net wage bill of €16.5 million, Fenerbahçe Beko also generated solid gate receipts of about €13 million, once again proving that success on the hardwood is mirrored in the cash register.
Looking to the Future
Having retained its core and continuing to trust Jasikevicius, the Istanbul giant enters the new cycle already as a two-time European champion. The main intrigue of the off-season is how the team will allocate resources between established leaders and potential newcomers to keep the nearly 80 % win rate in the next campaign. One thing is clear: the bar is set so high that any step back will be perceived as a sensation.
