The management of Los Angeles FC has officially notified that it will not activate the purchase option valued at 25 million dollars stipulated in the agreement. Thus, the American club has declined the opportunity to complete a permanent transfer, and Cengiz Ünder will return this summer to the Istanbul side Fenerbahçe, with whom he has a long-term contract.

During his loan spell, Ünder managed to make 15 appearances across all MLS competitions. He recorded 2 goals and 3 assists, confirming his status as a technical wide forward who can both finish attacks and supply teammates with incisive passes.
The return of the 26-year-old Turkish winger, who came through the academies of Roma, Marseille and Leicester, is expected to strengthen Fenerbahçe’s attacking flanks ahead of the new season.
