Biography
Phil Walter Foden is an English midfielder who plays for Manchester City and the England national team. He is one of the key players of his generation and a graduate of the club’s academy.
He supported City from childhood and joined the club’s system at the age of four. He studied at St Bede’s College, where his education was funded by the club. In 2016, he signed an academy scholarship, and in 2017, he made his debut for the first team.
Breakthrough (2017–2019)
In 2017, he made a strong statement at youth level — he was named the best player of the U-17 World Cup, winning the tournament with England.
In November 2017, he made his debut for Manchester City in the Champions League. In the same season:

He was born and raised in Greater Manchester. From childhood, he was a devoted Manchester City supporter, which made his connection with the club especially emotional for fans.
