Biography

Early Years and Career Beginnings

Rodrygo Silva de Goes was born on December 14, 1996, in Osasco (São Paulo state). He is a graduate of the Santos academy, which he joined in 2011 and initially played futsal. In 2017, he signed his first professional contract and soon made his debut in Série A. In 2018, he scored a hat-trick in the Brazilian championship and became the youngest Brazilian at that time to score in the Copa Libertadores.

Transfer to Real Madrid

In the summer of 2019, he joined Real Madrid for €45 million, signing a contract until 2025 (later extended until 2028). In his debut season, he scored in La Liga and became the second-youngest player in history to score a Champions League hat-trick, achieving it in a match against Galatasaray.

Historic Comeback and Trophies

In the 2021–22 season, he played a key role in the historic comeback against Manchester City in the Champions League semi-final, scoring two goals in two minutes at the end of the match and sending the game into extra time. That same season, he helped the club secure a “double” (La Liga + Champions League).

Subsequent Success

In 2023, he scored two goals in the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna. During the 2023–24 season, he continued to be an important player in Carlo Ancelotti’s team, contributing to another championship season and a Champions League victory.

Brazil National Team
