Rodrygo Biography

Rodrygo Silva de Goes was born on December 14, 1996, in Osasco (São Paulo state). He is a graduate of the Santos academy, which he joined in 2011 and initially played futsal. In 2017 he signed his first professional contract and soon made his debut in Serie A. In 2018 he scored a hat-trick in the Brazilian championship and became the youngest Brazilian at the time to score in the Copa Libertadores.

In the summer of 2019 he joined Real Madrid for €45 million, signing a contract until 2025 (later extended until 2028). Already in his debut season he scored in La Liga and became the second-youngest player to score a hat-trick in the history of the UEFA Champions League, achieving it in a match against Galatasaray.

In the 2021-22 season he played a key role in the historic comeback against Manchester City in the Champions League semifinal, scoring two goals in two minutes at the end of the match and sending the game to extra time. In the same season he helped the club achieve a "golden double" (La Liga + Champions League).

In 2023 he scored two goals in the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna. In 2023-24 he continued to remain an important player in Carlo Ancelotti's team, contributing to another championship season and a Champions League victory.

He made his debut for the Brazil national team in 2019. He participated in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2024 Copa America.

Rodrygo Controversies
